4^th Grade Artists

The fourth graders at Rumsey Station are making pop-art right now. They have learned that pop-art stands for pop culture. They have thought of everything from cupcakes to maracas. There are many different creations! Right now they are creating the base and doing the paper mache part on the base. In the future they will paint the base after it is dry. The whole process takes about 4-5 class periods. They have been working very hard, so I can’t wait see the final project.

Parent game day

The third graders in Mrs. Kirk’s class are having parent game day. This mom is playing dominoes with the students. Playing games with your parents can be a lot of fun! This is a great example of spending time with your parents. If you are a parent who has a kid in Mrs. Kirk’s class make sure you ask your child when the next game day is!    

The bird Experiment

        Beak experiment

      The fifth graders enjoy their science experiment. It’s based on bird beaks and their adaptations. The clothes pin is a great example of picking up worms. They are trying to figure out which beak is the best for picking up objects.
